北京、天津等一些城市的人口出现负增长，成都、重庆等强二线城市人口增长迅猛，一些省会城市的人口在本省首位度进一步提升。

这些人口变化新动向意味着什么？其背后的原因是什么？又将带来什么样的影响？近日，中国人民大学国家发展与战略研究院研究员、公共管理学院教授马亮接受CGTN采访，谈中国城市人口的新动向。

Over 20 Chinese municipal statistics bureaus have recently reported their population data. Mega cities seem to no longer be the most popular choice. Beijing, the capital city of China, has actually witnessed a decline in its number of permanent residents. Its neighboring city Tianjin has experienced an even more significant drop in population. With more people moving out of big cities, 2nd tier cities like Chengdu and Hangzhou are seeing a population boom.
